Inside a bunker, Equil Atlas spent his life blissfully unaware of the outside. Humanity has long since destroyed nature, and only the military, The Cogent Force, dare leave now. Monsters have claimed what is left of the earth, kept in check by the culling.

But when Equil's father and aunt don't return from a mission outside, it's military policy that they will not be retrieved. Equil sets out to find them alone, with only radio contact with his friend inside to guide him. What, or who, will he find when he reaches his family?
