During the events of the Van Der Linde Gangs time, running from the law and Pinkerton's out into the snowy mountains of Ambarino. They find themselves stuck in an old mining cabin called Colter, throughout the weeks they spend there, they find a widow woman named Sadie Adler, attack the O'Driscolls hideout and take one named Kieran Duffy as prisoner. But by the end, rob a train that belongs to a big oil man named Leviticus Cornwall. During the train robbery they find themselves the bonds they wanted but also a young woman in her late 20s on board, the daughter to Leviticus.
Dutch Van Der Linde finds himself nervous if their cover may be blown if the woman is let go, but Arthur Morgan sees things differently, wanting the woman to go home for her own safety and happiness, knowing that her lifestyle wouldn't keep her alive long enough in the rough life they live in. But as usual they go with what Dutch wants, taking the girl back with them to their camp. Dutch seeing it as an opportunity and Arthur seeing it as a death wish.
