"Well I don't mean to scare you child, but there must be a new ruler. And since you, my boy defeated Pariah Dark, you are the heir to the throne. You are the new king of ghosts." 
"B-but, there's no way!" The boy laughed. "Skulker will come or Technus and then maybe even The Box Ghost will join in and beat me to a pulp. If I was really king, then why do they fight me?"
Clockwork sighed.
"See that's just it Daniel. They haven't attacked you for almost a week, and it's not because they need to regain strength." 
Danny fell silent. 
Clockwork was right.

Given his halfa nature, he's fairly not worried about most parts of Gotham and given he needs less sleep now, he likes to wander campus and Gotham itself like he's a natural Gothathes...at night like the half dead-half living man he was. During these wanderings, he finds pieces of bat tech from fights. He figures it's safer in his care(and because he's really curious about the local vigilantes) so...he takes it. It's usually just tiny things that the bats- probably -wouldn't even notice gone and he has things to fiddle with now. Unfortunately(for the bats), he finds Red Hood's destroyed helmet and takes it back to his dorm to fix, figuring it would allow him to return most of the items he snatched without a second thought. He doesn't realize it has an active tracker in it so the bats, when they activate it and discover it on the Gotham University campus, reasonably panic and flip on the camera...only to come face to face with adoption bait using bits of their missing tech to fix the helmet. (Warning: There is a brief scene of vomiting)

It has been three years since Amity Park first saw ghosts, and now it was uncommon to go a day without an explosion or fight of some kind. Heroes have shown up, the Red Huntress, the GIW, The Fenton's, and Phantom. Danny Fenton used to be an A+ student; he was going to go on to be an astronomer, an astronaut, and live out his dreams of visiting the stars. No one really knows what happened to the bright kid he used to be, but he was now failing practically every class, and if he wasn't sleeping in class, he was missing half of it. No one knows what happened to the bright young star, but they want to. Danny Phantom is the Ghost Prince. After defeating the prior Ghost King, every entity in the Ghost Realm was preparing for his coronation. The day his body turns eighteen years old, he will be the Ghost King. However, they cannot have a halfling as their king, so the only viable option is to kill his human half. Thankfully that has already been written into the coronation process. They just need to collect the ingredients for the potion. Danny Phantom would rather not be king, but he doesn't get a say in the matter. - The title is from the song Dark on Me from Starset. I just thought it was kind of cool. I started writing this a while ago, and I have a few parts already written, but I am going to hold off on posting them because I have a habit of procrastination, so maybe waiting to post for a few days or so will help me actually update it. I've also been updating this on Ao3 if anyone would prefer to read it there :) All of the Chapter Titles are lyrics to the Starset song Echo.

(Sequel to What happened to Dora's little nerd) When Ember decides to go help the others talk to Sydney Poindexter and protect them from him Johnny decides to go with her to help protect them but when Sydney tries to blast Kitty and Johnny flies in front of Kitty getting blasted instead, Ember feels horrible for thinking of that idea and letting Johnny come and apologizes to Kitty but Kitty doesn't care about Ember's apology she just gets so mad that Ember runs away to the dark ghost zone. (all of the stuff I just listed happened in the last chapter of What happened to Dora's little nerd? so it will not happen in this story it will only be referenced a ton.) Danny, Sam, Tucker, Jazz, Sydney, Black Widow, Desiree, Technus, Clockwork(who's knowing everything power is starting to work again but not completely), Spectra, Bertrand, Heartbreaker, Dani, Youngblood, Skele, Shadow, Cujo, and later Dora, Frostbite, Maddie, Valerie and even Johnny try to find Ember but have a hard time with it especially when they run into Gravekeeper and Vivian who want to destroy all of them and Viv controls Shadow with her powers. Will they be able to defeat Grave and Viv and break the control on Shadow and find Ember without any of the ghosts losing their powers? Plus they also need to get Kitty to stop being mad at Ember. And Kitty breaks up with Johnny. And Johnny gets amnesia after getting blasted by Jack Fenton then hitting the ground super hard. Can Dora, Frostbite, Maddie, Val, Skele, Des, and Kitty get his memory back? (Kitty, Ember, Johnny, and Danny centric) (Like with What happened to Dora's little nerd the P.O.V. will change every so often.) (takes place right after my story 'Ember Runs Away') previously on my Danny Phantom fanfictons: Clockwork reveals that Johnny was actually smart but just acted like an idiot around Kitty because he was scared that she wouldn't like him if he were smart so Johnny flew off angry at Clockwork and worried about what Kitty would say. this time in my fanficton: Johnny's friends go look for him to talk, while Clockwork feels horrible for revealing that Johnny was smart and is sure Johnny hates him now, meanwhile Vlad accidentally makes a ghost illness (the EctoFlu) that messes with a ghost's powers and accidently infects himself, Danny, Ember, Dani, Kitty, Shadow, Skele, Heartbreaker, Black Widow, Desiree, Technus, and Sydney forcing them to quarantine and forcing Maddie, Jazz, Sam, Tucker, and Valerie to take care of them. While Dora worries about her little nerd and wants to be with him, and Frostbite insists that he helps to take care of his friends and Vlad, Clockwork goes to FentonWorks to see if he can make something to get his friends better but is kind of having a hard time because his knowing everything power isn't completely back yet and he's starting to get the EctoFlu too but won't admit it, and Youngblood worries about his father, girlfriend, and best friend while trying to find Johnny to help them. Will Youngblood be able to find Johnny in time? Will Johnny ever be able to forgive Clockwork? Will Clockwork ever admit that he's sick? Will Dora risk getting sick to be with her little nerd?
