Emptiness

I watched you sitting on a swing and reading a book that was my favorite. I was always afraid to tell you something because I loved you. I ruined ourselves that we can't be met because you just never lifted your eyes to me.

A few more years of waiting have passed. I grew up. I got a dream job, wrote a romance book and had a wonderful life. But I have not forgotten you. NEVER. You have always been and remain in my heart.

Two years later, I met you in the garden of my home. In your hands was the same book I adored. But I couldn't see anything in your eyes. They were empty.
