Tobias Love has always dreamed of being a teacher, of making a difference, but his kindergarten class has gained a reputation of being a "freak show" due to the disabilities and appearances of his students. Sara Díez is one such student. At first, she seems like any other kid, but when her father shows up late to pick her up, Toby learns things may not be going well at home. Tony Díez is a brash, tough guy with an attitude to boot. He never wanted kids but ended up stuck with one after knocking up his ex-girlfriend. With the mother now out of the picture, Tony is left to raise his child alone and frankly, he's shit at it. Toby wants to help Sara but how can he get past her brute of a father? - on hold but returning soon -

Scotts life is that of a normal 18 year old: he just lives life trying not to think of what do when he grows up, spending time with friends or, preferably, alone. There is nothing special about him, but he's known a player that doesn't care much for the boys he hooks up with. He's nice, but careless and distant. Dante goes to the same school as him. They don't know each other well, but when Dante hears him talk about his last catch, he gets annoyed and says Scott's not as cold as he shows off. Scott, amused, bets him he is. And so they start an odd game. They will make the other fall in love, certain of themselves that they will never feel anything for the other. Scotts friends warn him about the risk, but he ignores them and pulls his best act trying to get Dante to like him. But as their game goes on, secrets are uncovered, and they are bound to each other in a way neither of them saw coming.
