In a small town in northern Idaho, people have consistently been disappearing for as long as anyone can remember. Local authorities have never been able to find anyone once they've disappeared... Despite this the Carter family move into the town to get away from city life and start a more peaceful life, however, they soon realize the unnatural and sinister atmosphere in the town. At the same time they move in, a private investigator, James Shaw, comes to town to solve the mystery of the disappearing people. What he finds is an age old and menacing entity that plagues the town; this is the weirdest and most dangerous case of his career thus far...
