The Lost Ones

In 1645, 17 year old farmer boy William Farsome is abducted by a section of the government to be experimented on after proposing to Mary Aberdene . The result of this experiment is the world's first vampire.
In 1755, twins and all round troublemakers Caleb and Carter Richerson are taken by the same section of the government, the experiment giving them more skills for trouble.
In 1805, runaway Elizabeth Valiente is taken by the government, the experiment resulting in Elizabeth changing into a Wolf at will mostly, apart from the moon is full, then the urge to change becomes unbearable.
Now in the present day William along with others like him, experiments of the government, attend a public school while investigating possible threats to the government.

The story goes back and forth between time and characters, each heading signifying a change.
