Being the bad guy wasn't always so bad to Janus, but it was never so good either. Being hated by everyone he knows unless his actions benefit them always hurt him. But he would never say a word. Perhaps a lie would slip from his lips if he were to try reaching out for help. Why would it matter anyway? The light sides don't care for him, it's not their job to. Virgil left because he wasn't good enough. The only person he can trust is in love with someone else. Remus just doesnt understand him.
So when Janus is offered a permanentj way out for the small price of harming the FamILY, Janus accepts.
