“Well, will you be introducing yourself, or are you busy reminiscing about some childhood memory involving the boy next door and mud pies?”

At this Katerina's head shot up, while around her, her fellow classmates giggled. Meeting his gaze, shock coursed through her, Katerina's eyes narrowing.

“You...” 

 

Third year student Katerina Thorpe finds herself in an awkward predicament when a childhood acquaintance, Ashton LeBlanc, suddenly reappears in her life as one of her professors. Finding her irritation towards him amusing, Ashton wonders what might have transpired during their childhood that led Katerina to disappear from the lives of him and their friends. 

As the two of them begin to reacquaint themselves, Ashton starts to see the broken hearted girl that walked out of his life, and how he might have played a role in her departure. All the while, Katerina realizes that it might not be easy to put her trust in other, however when things start to fall apart in her family, it's her childhood friends who are there for her. With Ashton, she soon realizes that the feelings she had thought she had quashed all those years ago, are still there. 

With their relationship rapidly evolving from friends to something more, while Katerina is still Ashton's student, Ashton and Katerina are faced with a tough decision. Is embarking on a relationship worth possibly destroying both their careers?
