Bakugou had always loved the water. When he was young, at any time of day you could find him by the beach, looking at shells and crabs or playing in the shallow water. His mother always encouraged him, despite how she lost her husband. His love of the sea never ceased, he dedicated his life to being a sailor like his father.
Kirishima grew tired of the ocean floor, he grew tired of the same old creatures that swam by his cell, he grew tired of being alone. Others thought he was a monster, thought he would hurt them, thought he would snap. The red scales that ran from his hips to the tips of his fins, were a curse, a curse that got him stuck in a cage.
