You lived in a town that you had grown to know. A town you had come to love. A town you couldn't dare harm. So that's why you had to move far away. To a place where you could start fresh, a place where you could make cash, kick ass and not worry about hurting anyone you knew.
Washington seemed like a safe bet. You didn't know anyone nearby, so you knew you could move there and not put any family in harm's way. Now you just had to find a job. That wasn't hard. You already had one, as an interrogator. Not for detective work. More so for people in higher power. People that ran whole cities. More underground. The Mob. But now came the hard part: finding someone with ties to this underground family and getting in without blowing your cover. You had to always hide who you were.
Rick noticed something off about you when you moved into the unfinished house just down the street. He watched you for days, weeks on end as you always walked by the open garage, seeing the gadgets the old man worked on, though taking note of the fact that you never actually stopped to admire his creations.
He had to know more about you. But how?

You grew up to be a hunter despite your fathers wishes for you. Your father, Bobby Singer, hated that you were in this line of work, and he always blamed himself for ridding you of a normal life. It's not like he didn't try to shield you from this life. For the majority of your childhood you weren't aloud to touch weapons or read up on anything supernatural - but his efforts went to waste whenever the Winchesters were over. Growing up an only child with just your father to keep you company could have been boring, but every once in a while one of your dad's old hunting buddies would drop his two sons off at your house. Those weeks and sometimes months when Sam and Dean Winchester lived with you were the best times of your life. The two brothers were your best friends. Dean was the first person to teach you how to shoot, hell he was the first on to teach you most things in this line of work. For a little while you saw them as your brothers, that is, until you and Dean had turned 16 years old. The two of you had celebrated your birthdays together when John (Dean and Sam's dad) dropped them off at your house for nearly six months. During that extended stay you had developed a sort of crush on Dean that you never saw coming. Unfortunately you never were able to explore the possibilities of that relationship as you rarely saw him after those short 6 months. Only every once in a while, then never again after your father had threatened John, cursing him to never show his face around the scrap yard again. He even cocked the shotgun and everything.
