The roaring twenties. A time of glamour and freedom in the United States. But under this cloak of glamour lies something far more sinister. As the era of prohibition continues to gain traction, the rising count of missing people reaches unbelievable amounts. Their disappearances seem to be connected to a mysterious new liquid being sold secretly as a substitute for alcohol. Seventeen-year-old Wren is part of an international organization called Lead bullet which fights organized crime along with the Metropolitan police. As one of the members disappear, Wren finds herself in a web of lies and deceit as the secret to this mysterious alcohol lingers. Her previous friends become foes as the control of the mob continues to extend into the crevices of New York City. Economic disaster creeps in the corner as the world seems to come to an end. Will Wren be the one to figure out the mystery behind the disappearance of her best friend? Or will she herself fall victim to the clutches of corruption?
