Marinette has one job. To lead sailors to their deaths with her intoxicating song. But that all changes on the day of her Lumernia when her grandpappy and GrandMer give her a pair of simple black earrings. Marinette is called to out on a Bacchanalia, finding that an entire ship of the dreaded humans has come upon her island.

Prepared to kill the beasts, Marinette and her Sirens are stopped when grandpappy slips one of the precious jewels--that every siren is expected to protect with her life-- on one of the human's fingers, the Sirens are forced to let them live.
Much to the displeasure of Marinette's GrandMer.
Now, Marinette is tasked to be clever enough to trick the ring off the human's finger. But how hard could it be? He's only a stupid human.
