Cecilia is afraid of being average. She is terrified of being the social norm even though that is all that her parents want her to be. She is every stereotype put together and does everything to stick to her list of perfect character traits. She wants to be reckless, bold, outgoing, brave, and strong, while still maintaining a feminine front. She's been told too many times that she isn't girly enough, and though she does nothing to change peoples thoughts on her, it still bothers her. She only wants to be her own definition of perfect. People come and go in her life, but she isn't worried. She doesn't believe in fate, but she believes that she can't choose for other people. If they want to leave her, she won't make them stay, no matter how much she wants them to. When three very important people are forced to leave her, she learns to deal with it. She is perfect in everyone's eyes but her own.

Ameliorate: To make (something unsatisfactory)better. Adelpha Omorfiá Orfanó is a normal fourteen year old girl, but only in her own opinion. She's been abused, manipulated, and most things in between. She's gone her entire life believing she was better off dead. After spending a year in orphanages and various foster homes, she receives notification that somebody finally wants to adopt her. The one and only Alex Gaskarth, her idol, shows up and decides to adopt Adelpha. With the help of his friends, Alex teaches Adelpha that there is more to family than pain and labor. He teaches her love, care, and helps her through years of depression, self-harm, and the never-ending nightmare of her past. *Trigger warnings for graphic self-harm, suicide, abuse, sexual abuse, anxiety, panic attacks, anorexia, bulimia, death, bullying, etc.* Please message me to talk to me if you feel triggered.
