This modern day, bible-belt high school set Romeo and Juliet inspired love story centers around an all-American boy-next-door named Brycen Chandler who just so happens to be the star quarterback at his high school. When a nerdy new boy named Sonny Lucas moves down the street from him, Brycen befriends him as Sonny has no friends there yet. But Sonny is not only a nerd, but he's gay and one of those "artsy" boys who is in drama club, art club, and glee club. All the football players tell Brycen to stay away, but he can't as they've grown close. Brycen puts his reputation on the line to be friends, but soon discovers that he is in love with Sonny, which is a surprise because he's not gay. As Brycen travels a path to self discovery, he jeopardizes everything...his friends, his scholarship, his relationship with his family, his college. But when tragedy strikes, will it make Brycen realizes how much he loves Sonny and come to terms with who he is or will it be too late?
