Rory remembers the first time she saw Jesse stroll into Stars Hollow.
She remembers wondering why anyone would move to this small town when he was so obviously meant for a bigger city with less town fundraisers and more leather jackets hanging off of motorcycles.
She remembers their first kiss outside of Sookie and Jackson's wedding.
She remembers the heartache that made a home in her chest cavity every time he left. With or without a goodbye.
She remembers the notes in her books and the late nights waiting for his call, leaving her to wonder why she wasn't enough.
But now, standing in Luke's diner, she is wondering if he still loves her. Or even remotely cares about her.
And if he'll love her through her pregnancy. Or if this will just be another time where he turns and runs.

In a Hospital on October 8th, 1984 at 4:03 am, Lorelai (Rory) Leigh Gilmore was born. Exactly 14 minutes later, Hailey Hope Gilmore-Hayden was born. Just 5 weeks after their birth their mother, Lorelai, realized that she could not take care of 2 babies. After a lengthy conversation with the babies father, Christopher Hayden, and a visit to custody court, Hailey was taken into primary custody of her father. She grew up in Hartford loved by her father and grandparents, Straub and Francine. While Rory and Lorelai move into a small town called Stars Hollow. While both girls knew about the other half of their family, they still remained in their separate lives. That is until Rory transfers to her high school and tries to create a semi-normal sibling relationship. After a rocky first year in school together, the sisters eventually create a stable relationship that begins to work for their dysfunctional family. That is until a certain dark haired bad boy decides to move to Stars Hollow and forms a friendship with one sister over the other. Creating jealousy stirring between the sisters. The Simpler Life
Rory centric story that takes place mostly in Stars Hollow. Small-town charm and quirk, mixed with starting her life over in a new role as a mother. For me she is not perfect - and I don't expect to make her one. There will be guys we all know and love in this story, and while there'll be some angst, romance and opportunity mixed in - this story is not about this becoming a ROGAN or Literati or any other ship. On that front I'll just leave you guessing where'll she'll end up. Life is a process not a fixed happy-ever-after outcome.
