When the Omega lock does something other than bring the planet back to life, but brings Sparklings from the war back from the dead. 

Pewter was a normal youngling living with his friend Iron. But when the Big Bots come and take him away, he thinks that he is alone, until he meets Copper. 

As Copper and Pewter grow up, he forgets all about Iron. When the younglings turn into adults, Starscream and Soundwave mistake Pewter for Megatron. But after realizing that Pewter was Megatron's lost sparkling, killed before by the hands of a Prime, Pewter takes the roll as the new leader of the Decepticons to try and lead them away from their path of blood-shed. Something that the Autobots think is not possible.

But Unicorn's life blood had damned Megatron the second he made contact with the Dark energon, so Unicorn has taken over his body in hopes of destroying Primus, or more commonly known as Cybertron.
