Scarlet just wants to be left alone and finish high school as she moved away from her home. People at her old school saw her as odd and she only had two best friends that were left back in London when she moved. She is forced into a new school being the new girl and hating the people in the school. Everybody seemed to enjoy drama and teasing the new girl relentlessly but she knows how to stand up for herself and she can be more dangerous than they think. Some trauma from home is found and in danger of being told, things that she doesn't really want people to know. You'd think getting through high school would be easy. A certain bad boy who happens to be her neighbor takes a keen interest in her. She's never liked anyone and has had no real interest in any relationship, only her studies that kept her busy. He's smart but acts like he's the greatest and he tries to impress her but she can hardly be impressed by things she can do. Distractions around every corner with the bad boy and the popular mean girl group that doesn't approve of the bad boys attention on her.

Many centuries later, in 2023, the new generation of the Zomer (the cult that nearly inadvertently caused the apocalypse) is back and they are now targeting Aaron, a teenage zegen orphan living in Brussels, Belgium. Little by little, with the help of his classmates - Mathéo, Sara and Laura - the boy unravels the secrets behind his conception and the four adolescents are all roped into an iniquitous plot that's much bigger than all of them. What truly happened to Aaron's parents for them to have abandoned him? Why is the Zomer so interested in him? Could any of this be connected to Feto? Everlee Bridge, a scared, lonely, heartbroken girl, is in a mess she never asked for. Seven years in a place she never wanted to be in broke her into pieces she couldn't pick up. Life has been hard for her since her parents gave her away to a gang. Her unwillingness cost her a lot in the past. So she accepted her defeat and decided to just keep going with everything until it reaches an end. Well, things don't go as planned when she moves to a completely different town with a bunch of other gang members. She still wants to stay hidden and away from everyone. But that seems impossible when she bumps into Asher Kellins and his absolutely crazy friends in her new school. Her life takes a different turn, but for the first time she doesn't want to fight it. But the thing is, her past is still her present and that is bound to suck her in at some point.
