"It's too much to remember everything and everyone, all pain and hurt is killing me day by day little by little. I wish I could remove all the pain and move on in my life. I was what they called a perfectionist. I had everything planned out and wanted a simple straightforward life. Things at home were hectic, disturbed, painful and heart-breaking. I decided that I wanted to stay away from all people that could possibly hurt me. For example, friends, extended family, judgemental neighbours and worst of all, the one I dreaded the most... love. But of course, as any normal story goes, I was unable to steer clear of love. I was unable to steer clear from him. I let myself drown in merciless water, drown so deep, the surface was out of the question. I let myself escape and wonder in his inequitable love, so blinded, so foolish. "Dante please, leave." I tried to push him away but instead he held my hands and pinned them behind me pulling me closer to him, our chest crashed with each other. His one hand came up to my lips, I gulped hard he looked really angry. His eyes landed on my lips tracing his thumb over my bottom lip he asked "Did he kiss you?" I remained quiet. Taking his gaze off my lips he looked me in the eye and asked again "Did he kiss you?" "Why do you care?" He does care about people, his people whom he loves the most and can go any extent to protect them. It's always the reader who falls in love with the characters while reading a book. I'm here to let you know that it can be different. We. We all want to feel. We all want to feel the fire of love. We all want to feel the fire of love, the real one that will make us naturally gain an enticing and gleaming soul. A sparkle that will lighten up the gloominess we got to use, but even though our eyes might hurt under the intensity of the foreign light, we refuse to close them. Once we glimpse at the beauty and innocence of the virgin world, world of love, we won't allow our minds to take us back to the way we were. Fearing the melancholy. We all want to feel the fire of love. No matter how hard we deny it, somewhere in the deepest and darkest corners of the back of our heads, corners that our train of thoughts is scared of taking us to, we have a secret story that we want to keep to ourselves, a special memory that we cherish and remember everytime we are alone, a dream that we put so much strength believing in it and holding on the smallest possibilities of its realisation, an image of our perfect lover to whom we possess a blind, dreamy and unconditional love that will make us more than willing to accept them with all their flaws. We all want to feel the fire of love. The one that gives us goosebumps at the thought of the right one, butterflies when we touch them and have a taste of the sweetness of their hearts, chills when we lock eyes and let our imagination get wild. It will feel like a dream, the kind of dreams we wish could last an eternity because they simply make us happy. We all want to feel the fire of love. But none of us want to get burned. What if... lost souls: rain, stars, and iced coffee
Does anyone remember how anything begins? Or how anything ends? For every story, every song, every movie has a beginning to an end and an end to a beginning, but what about the rest? What about prior to the beginning or after the end, and everything in between? No one cares about that, I guess. Everyone just wants to know how what begins and how what ends; the rest is history. The rest is nothing and everything at the same time, because those who want to see, want to feel, breathe in it all--they are the lost souls in the world. They are lost, searching, needing, and craving souls. They are you and they are me. Lost in this world of collateral damage, hoping to be rescued. Searching for what can rescue them, whether that be a person or a drug or a hobby. Needing whatever it is soon because they have drowned and they are six feet under, floating in alcohol and seizing due to heroin and crying because of a him or a her. And craving--craving to die and to live all at once, for they know life is a beautiful disaster and they know about the good and the evil in this world; it has hurt them, numbed them, and misplaced them. But maybe, all they need to do--what every one of us needs to do--is stop whatever it is we're doing. Stop searching. Stop needing. Stop craving. And be.
