'It is COMPULSORY to attend ONE club this year,' announced the Headmistress, looking very serious. Everybody in the assembly hall groaned. 'Here are a few examples of some clubs...' She changed the PowerPoint slide and a list of around 50 clubs appeared. Everyone started talking about their choice. 'Hey, Sam. I'm gonna join LGBT+ Club, what about you?' my friend Celeste asked, nudging me. 'I mean... I want to join LGBT+ Club as well, but I'm straight...' I replied, shrugging. The last thing I wanted was to be separated from my friend at a new school, after our other one closed down. 
'Don't worry! I'm pretty sure you can be an ally!' 
I nodded as the Headmistress and other teachers tried to shush everybody.
