Where do gore and romance meet? In a small Minnesota town, where a brooding sheriff just can't seem to get away from murder. Follow Nick Carter as he tries to protect the town from a mysterious rash of unusual killings- and his heart from his young deputy, Jane.

This is one of my favorite short stories: just a quick-read first-person thriller with a dash of romance. Enjoy!
