Tora is a young ninja who attended the ninja academy in the Village Hidden in the Leaves. Many ninja are stronger than her, faster than her, and have more stamina, and she considers herself to be a weak link among her comrades--her only skill seeming to be her intelligence. And though it's acceptable for everyone to be strong with one thing and not another, she doesn't want that. No, not at all. Her dream isn't one to become the top ninja, it isn't to master all jutsus, it isn't to be the prettiest girl and get all the boys.
She seeks strength.
The strength to protect those she cares about so they won't ever get hurt again. She could care less for titles or ranks, all she cares is to become stronger than the weak girl she used to be. But when she's assigned to a team of unlikely comrades, she starts to find that becoming strong isn't all what she thought it was, and she realizes that perhaps even her "calm little life" is in the path of a monstrous hurricane.
Facing new opponents--a blood-lusting girl, a ninja with a hundred faces, and even those she considered friends--Tora is thrown into a situation far larger than anything she'd dreamed. As she quickly gets ensnared in the silky web of an enemy much greater than her, will she be capable of overcoming her obstacles? How will she gain the strength to do so? Is she far greater than she'd ever know on her own?
And most importantly, how will she accomplish her dream of protecting those closest to her when they're in the most danger--being so directly linked to some of the greatest dangers?

Kiwayo finally escapes. "Somewhere, anywhere is better. I want to be free." Collapsing from exhaustion she is recaptured. By who though? She is taken into the leaf village for questioning. After meeting her the Hokage allows her to be in the ninja academy. The Hokage takes a bet on this little girl will she be an enemy or a great ally? Her only problem isn't just fitting in. Scared and mourning her losses. She meets people the kindness they show her is unknown and comforting compared to her very lonely past. Her adventure begins! I finished the story recently and I left a lot of cliff hangers or gaps in her past and a ending that isn't ideal. If I revise, I will fix that and probably change the end. They survived the Mist, but now the team of rag tag hero students, ninjas and whatever the 3 adults are is facing a new challenge, and this one will test all of their courage to the breaking point... *** Gaara's peace cohort, now known as Team Zoe, are making their way to Iwakagure, or Stone Village. After the success of their last Village visit, the team (composed now of the Sand Siblings, the DJs, Team 10, Team 7 including Sai, Hinata Hyuga, Tenten. And the heroes Todoroki, Yaoyorozo, Bakugo,and Camie, the villain Dabi, and adding Hanabi Hyuga [and Rock Lee]) is in a good mood, but, Stone Village throws them a lot of unexpected curve balls, and throws some other things at them also. While things heat up on the political front, the team's internal relationships continue to either fray, or deepen as they spend more time together. Sasuke is still there, but his war with himself gets only more and more intense as he continues to consider if his place is even with Team Zoe, or if he should strike out alone again. And is his bond with Naruto and Sakura changing? Shine and Wally sprinkle all this with a healthy dose of teaching and funny anecdotes as they try to keep a group of 20 teenagers from tearing each other, and the shinobi villages, apart. Things have never been this bleak for Gaara's mission, will he end up having to go home in disgrace? Or will he find a way to persevere?
