A young girl enters the 21st Century with excitement and trepidation without knowing what life will hold as an independent woman in this era. After a disastrous relationship and difficulties climbing the corporate ladder, she turns her back on the last ten years to start again: spending a year living and working on an island and she finds her life is changed forever. When she returns, the rest of Australia has gone mad with technology and are experiencing illness and disease at a rapidly increasing rate that no one can explain. Life for her is also changing at a rapid pace and she has to decide what role technology will play in her life.

The story contrasts the life of a man and a women in the 21st century and will take you on a journey from Far North Queensland to the city of Melbourne, Victoria, out to the bush in the Dandenong Ranges and to the sea in the Bayside suburbs. Like mobile phone reception and data charges, there will be blind spots, outages, outrages, spam and scams, costly mistakes, additional fees, fast pace, slow pace, and the unknown.
