April Spitz, a seventeen year-old girl with a heartbreaking past, joins the Teens' Summer Music Program, a four-week music curriculum for teenagers. She auditions as a singer and a pianist, and is accepted.
    
    She meets Kaiden Richards, the music prodigy who spends half his time secretly working in the kitchen to pay his program fee. Kaiden, however, sees unnoticed, beautiful things in April.
    
    She suddenly slips into depression, shutting everyone out.
