"So what?" I looked back at him. He had moved to stand beside the nightstand on the opposite side of the bed.
"'So what?'" he mocked me. "SO, you keep going. Why let one girl ruin this?" he came around the bed, coming to sit next to me. The bed gave way to our weight, the sheets ruffling slightly underneath us. "Why let one girl ruin us?" he leaned closer.
I couldn't help but flicker my eyes down to his lips. It was only a split-second. But it was too late. I had let my guard down.
