In The Dark

You know that feeling you get when you're 7 or 8 and you lie in bed so scared of the dark. You're head takes over and before you know it you're hearing terrifying sounds, doors opening and closing, footsteps or worse, you see things. A shadow turns into a stranger. You cover you're head with your blanket and try to calm yourself, perhaps you say a silent prayer. It's the fear of the unknown. It's the fear of being alone- isolated. In the moment, it's your reality.
This is the story of a boy and now a man who lived in the dark far too long but does he finally see the light? Will he feel the calm of embracing arms? Why do we fear solitude? Why do we fear living? Why do we fear loss? Why do we fear not being good enough? Why do we fear change? Why do we fear God?
