Korel has lived for 200 years, his existence not meaning much. He was created out of greed. He killed for the sake of his own friend who in turn tired to kill him and his creator.
Now he's lived many years alone. That is until he meets a boy dying of an unknown disease.
They become good friends as Korel visits him everyday. At first, it is only out of pity, but soon they become almost the best of friends.
It seems that Korel's blood can save the boy and Ikaru's blood is special towards vampires.
Korel's childhood has been erased but what's hidden in it. Ikaru too has a secret that not even he knows about. But it's starting to awaken.

"Grab that plate and throw it on the floor." I told him, handing him a plate. "Why am I---" "Just do it!" I yelled, trying to hold back the tears. He looked at me and took the plate from my hand, making careful moves so he didn't touch the tips of my fingers. "Throw it on the ground." I told him. I watched as he threw it down on the ground, pieces of one of my moms plates going everywhere. "Okay. Now what?" He asked me, a hint of impatience in his voice. I walked up to him so we were old inches apart, our noses almost touching. It would be so easy to just kiss him right now.... "Now say your sorry." I whispered to him, letting a tear slip. I felt his gentle hands wrap around me and pull me in closer. Our foreheads touched as he whispered the faithful words, "I'm sorry." I pulled away from him, making sure I didn't cut myself on the sharp shards of glass. "Did it go back to the way it was before?" I asked him, angry tears rolling freely down my face now. How could he do this to me? I am--was--his mate. He looked at me with a sad expression and then looked down. Strangled, he whispered, "No." "Do you understand now how my heart broke when I found out? Do you get it now?" "Jace, I'm--" "Don't even!" I yelled. I couldn't take this anymore. "Leave!" I screamed, letting my tears fall to the floor. He looked at me with a painful look. I felt myself die inside when he finally did turn and leave. ~*~*~*~*~* Jace didn't know what Damian was in the beginning. She thought he was just a normal boy that went to her school. You can save yourself, with my help of course, without having to wait for your savior like last time, but you also have to accept and give into those desires you neglect" he would say while keeping his excited grin. I would scoff, yanking on the chains that bound me to the wall "no, I won't accept you. I'm still very much human... I'm not like you, or Kaname or any other of those stuck up purebloods... doesn't mean I wont use what i am to an advantage" He would let out a slight laugh, kneeling down "my my... This again with you being human. You were born human yes, but now?" He would say, plunging his hand into my side. I would tense, yelling out in pain and gritting my teeth as he moved his hand around in my side before pulling it out, holding his small bloodied hand infront of my face. "This... is vampire blood. You are human in flesh alone and even that is questionable..." he would grasp onto my shoulders, looking directly into my eyes "you need to figure out what you are, only then will you be able to escape, then take back control. Only when you accept this will you be able to kill them all" he would say calmly.
