Alex's POV

I turned away from her and started walking in the opposite direction. I didn't want to see them.

I felt strange. Everyone was looking at me and making strange noises and whispering across my walk down the hallway. Like I grew a second head. What was possibly bothering them?

I tried to hear their wispers and was shocked.

'He sure isn't the way he looks'
'He's something'
'Someone marked him right at the spot'

I felt horror and hurried to the bathroom.

Then I saw it and realisation hit me. The tattoo, The I'll teach you later how to respect seniors, the smirk and why she giggled.

At the part of my neck where she patted me was a huge mark of a hickey.

Prologue In the world of college life, words are often thrown around like confetti-light, colorful, and sometimes lacking substance. They say things to fill the silence, to create connections, and to express feelings that often remain hidden beneath the surface. But what happens when those words fall flat? When the promises made in fleeting moments fade into echoes of unfulfilled intentions? This is a story about the complexities of communication and the silent battles fought within relationships. It began with a simple smile exchanged in the midst of chaos during National Pharmacy Week-a moment that seemed inconsequential yet held the weight of possibilities. She found herself drawn to him, captivated by the way he spoke, the way he made her feel. But as she discovered, words alone would not be enough to bridge the gap between us. As their paths intertwined, we danced around each other in a series of unsaid feelings, lingering glances, and an unspoken connection that left her yearning for more. But with every promise unkept, the reality became clearer: words are just that-words. They mean little without the actions to back them up. This is the story of Elle's journey through that realization, a tale of fleeting moments, unfulfilled expectations, and ultimately, the power of choosing clarity over confusion. It's about learning that love is not just spoken; it's demonstrated. And in the end, it was a lesson that would change everything she thought she knew about relationships and herself.

Life Lesson #1: If you are planning on going to a nightclub in the middle of sketchy, dark woods, don't. Life Lesson #2: If there are too many attractive, healthy people in said nightclub, be alarmed and rethink Life Lesson #1. Life Lesson #3: If you were foolish enough to ignore rules 1 and 2, I suggest you haul ass. Aeress is one of those special people who obviously need a couple more life lessons... ----------------------------------------------------------------- He chuckled. It was dry but it was an addictive sound. "No," he brought his nose against her collar, "not at all." His lips skimmed over her exposed skin. She sighed at his touch, riding the sweet, overwhelming waves that came with. "You've barely touched me," Aeress had her hands skimming up the back of his neck and in between his strands. "And I'm falling apart." His voice was a little hollow and this worried her. "The bond we have is responsible for that." She tugged at him until he looked up. For a moment she just basked in how handsome he was. "I don't think so," she leaned in for a kiss, "I think that you are just about the most fascinating man I have ever met. And we have only just met. I don't think a bond can simply erase the will of an independent woman like me." His eyes came to life with a blazing fire. He closed the distance between them and kissed sensation back into her body, setting off every nerve in her flesh. Everything came to a boiling point, sizzling with need. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ °°MATURE AND EXPLICIT CONTENT OF ALL KINDS, AND I MEAN ALL KINDS°° Highest Rank: #7 in Werewolf, #79 in Romance

"I fucking 𝘰𝘸𝘯 you." He hissed. "You own me in 𝘣𝘦𝘥 and not in reality!" I insisted on my words. 𝘠𝘦𝘴, 𝘪𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘣𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶, 𝘈𝘭𝘦𝘹 𝘓𝘦𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘹, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘐 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘵 𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘴. I hated the fact he did, I hated that he had full control over my soul, I hated the way he kissed me, I hated the way his hands felt nothing but damn right on my skin. I hated the verity of him owning every single ugly piece of me. His touch wasn't just filthy, his touch healed me, his touch has woken me up from the darkness I was brutally blindfolded to see and the past I had drowned with. And most importantly, I hated the fact I fell for him. Hi loves! My second book is here and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did writing it! The edited version of this book is being updated under the name "That's Inappropriate, Mr. King." Twenty-two-year-old Anna wonders if she will ever find her mate. After her brother suggests that she should go to her original pack and try her luck, she decides to move there and gets her first job as a high school teacher. She had dreamed about her mate for very long time, but when she finds him, he is nothing like she expected... ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* "Mr. King, what can I help you with?" "Mate..." He growled... A conflicted look in his eyes. "I knew this would happen, but I told you, we have to wait-" He scoffed, interrupting me. "I Caleb King, re-" Now, I interrupted him... with a kiss. I know I should not be doing this, but I have been looking for him for so long and I just needed to do this... At least once. A real kiss with my mate. I expected him to pull away but he put his hands on my lower back and pulled me closer to him. I could feel sparks and a happiness and tranquility invaded my body. It just felt right and I wanted more, but I knew how this would end. I felt the tears running down my cheeks. I stepped back, interrupting the kiss. He whimpered a little bit and for a second I saw adoration in his eyes, but he pushed it back, giving me a blank stare. "I am sorry. I needed to do this. You can reject me now." He looked a little taken aback. "You were going to reject me. I just thought we both needed to experience this only once. You are the future Alpha, so I should not be the one to break the bond. Please do it now!" I do not why, but I wanted him to do it. After all, he was going to do it before and I did not want a kiss to change his mind. "I Caleb King, reject you Anna Amores as my mate." I think I could hear my heart break in that second. "I Anna Amores, accept your rejection, Alpha, and I wish the best for you, always." I gave him an honest smile... And he left, without looking back... ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

She gasped and used the little strength she had left to turn around and look at the man, but certainly not a human one. Muscles rippled across every part of his toned body, nearly seven feet tall in height. His left arm, shoulder blade, and part of his rib cage were scattered with reptilian-like scales that almost appeared like diamonds that glistened in the sunlight. He had thick, pure white hair tied in a braid that laid across his muscular bare back, ending at his hips. He had prominent cheekbones and a well-defined chin and jaw. Beneath his brows, his lavender eyes were as direct as expected, not even blinking as much as the average person. Unfortunately, his haunting eyes landed on the small human, seemingly examining her shaking figure closely. His lips curved into a grin, revealing his dangerously sharp teeth. Realization dawned on her, he was going to eat her. Little did she know, he was actually going to marry her. • snippet • She pulled out of his hold and took a step back. "You want to use me." She rasped. His lavender eyes widened and he took a step towards her, making her take two back. "No, that's not-" Her chest heaved as her worst fear was coming to the light. "That's why you've been trying to win me over. You wanted to- to impregnate me! And... And now I'm here, naked in the water with you!" She snapped, hot tears gathering in her eyes. "Holy shit, I'm naked with you." She exasperated, like she just now realized what she's done. She's never felt more exposed and terrified in her life. She was completely vulnerable to him in that moment. He could pounce on her in a split second, have his was with her, and she wouldn't be able to stop him. There it was again. The sheer terror in her eyes, and it was directed at him. Nothing hurt him more than that. • Highest rankings: #1 fiction #1 young adult #1 alien love #1 area 51 #1 stockholm syndrome #1 dark #1 arranged marriage #2 mates #2 wedding #3 alien #3 king
