It's been a few months since the books of beginning were destroyed and the Wibberly siblings were reunited with their parents. A few months since they each lost people dear to them. In the aftermath, their parents have tried to adjust them to a normal life, and a normal family dynamic. But the children know that it just doesn't feel right. They can't heal or live like this.
