Ever since Kira Mullen's dad died she has not talked to anybody. This is because every time she talks something bad happens and her dad seemed to be the only one immune to her voice. She also has inhumane strength, hearing, and sight. She goes to a perfectly normal school and seems like she has a normal life. All of a sudden Zayne comes to her school and messes everything up.

Zayne is a protector. He never thought he would meet someone like Kira.  He knows she's different and wants to know why.  He wonders why she won't talk.

On a perfectly normal day, Kira makes a slip-up and talks in front of Zayne. Nothing bad happens she starts to wonder if he is different.  When the whole community finds out about her secret what will she do now that her secret is out? Will she trust Zayne?
