The Secret of Souls: Aldith

In a time when man could not trust his own wife, racial issues rose like the daily sun, and the constant talk about another war arising, a boy was given extraordinary powers to guide lives. However, there was a cost he was to pay, and he has eternity to feel the wrath of the cost for making a wish.

Aldith knew how to be a slave, and she did not know that her life was about to change for the worst because of a man named Harold. When she has a new master and her surroundings change, everything has a new perspective and meaning. She must be cautious as a man who claims to love her wants to kill her, and a boy, who says he can manipulate winter, tells her she will die come during her second snow.

A surprising war and gruesome deaths are soon to come Aldith's way, and there isn't anything she can do to stop it.
Warning: there are racial issues mentioned because it's similar in the ways of the Europeans first coming to North America. Similar but not a reflection. There are only these similar mentions as I can't write gruesome things happening to people and characters because I end up stuck (kudos to GRRM, but I just can't).
