The world is dying. Heaven and Hell have broken and collapsed, creating a post-apocalyptic landscape that is part purgatory, part platonic world of ideas, blighted by the horrors of the human mind. The sun lies dormant in the east, atop God's tower, while the west is plunged into darkness and haunted by all that lives there. There is no day and night cycle, nothing grows, nothing dies, nothing changes, unless magic is involved. Angels hunt creatures for their blood, to feed it to God so he can finish gestating. Demons kill and destroy aimlessly, their origins inexplicable and unknown. Stranger beings wander the ruins of what's left of the world. Humans need not eat or sleep, caught in a state between life and death. They cannot die or be born naturally, but they can be killed and they can be made. The few that survived with their sanity somewhat intact have locked themselves into warded cities, but their protections are feeble and often ineffective. The Order that united them is long gone, broken into factions known only by the sins for which they have fallen. The Houses that protected them are crumbling, falling into ruin as their members were culled down by angels and demons, as well as their own mad quest to save the world; the Pilgrimage, a vain attempt to steal into Eden and murder God himself. Soon, only the Scions will remain. Those that were left not due to merit, but because they were the last choice for being heroes. Those whose memories and minds are as damaged and eaten through as their world. Those who agreed to take on the mysterious Archons within their bodies and, through that contract, had ancient relics and rituals passed down to them. They converge onto a long forgotten neutral ground, trying to save themselves. A heroic journey through a nightmarish wonderland. A pilgrimage to God's tower, to make the world whole again. To cleanse the world of the horrors infecting it. To kill the God who will doom them all with his birth.

Title: REPEATED MISTAKES In a realm where shadows dance and darkness reigns, three formidable demons-Troy, Tony, and Tyler-stand apart, each embodying the complexities of their cursed existence. Born from chaos and forged in the fires of ancient magic, they possess powers that define them, yet it is their bond as brothers that truly sets them apart. Troy, the eldest, is the epitome of strength among demons. Having ventured into the divine realms of heaven, he tasted both glory and betrayal, only to be cast back into darkness twice for his defiance against God. With a single, majestic wing that marks him as unique, Troy is a fierce warrior whose power eclipses that of all others. Yet, beneath his formidable exterior lies a heart burdened by the weight of his past choices. Tony, the second brother, possesses a fierce spirit that rivals Troy's strength. Though not as powerful, he complements his brother's might with unyielding determination and cunning. A strategist at heart, Tony thrives in the chaos of battle, always ready to protect his brothers with his ferocity. Then there's Tyler, the youngest, whose gentleness contrasts sharply with the fierceness of his brothers. While he may lack their brute strength, he is adored by all who know him. Tyler's empathy and kindness allow him to forge connections that his brothers sometimes struggle to maintain. It is his unwavering love that binds the trio together, reminding them of the importance of family amidst their dark destinies. In a world filled with treachery and ambition, the brothers navigate the thin line between ally and enemy, drawing strength from one another. As they confront ancient foes and face challenges that threaten their very existence, the true nature of their power will be tested, and the bond of brotherhood will be forged in the fires of conflict. Will their unity be enough to withstand the darkness that looms? Or will the very powers that define them tear them apart?

All she wants is to return home but when Lucifer's plan starts to take shape she realises she is the key to destroying Heaven and she may be the only one who can save it. Razakiel has been the Devil's right hand man ever since the Fall. He despises Lucifer and everything he's done, but when he discovers Abbegael's secret he finally has a chance to get home. Because sacrificing the Devil's daughter could be the one thing to save him and Heaven alike. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Trapped within the fiery depths of Hell, her only chance of escape is him; a stranger, the enemy. "I'm not going to hurt you," he growls in my ear, "Neither am I going to hand you over to that Bastard." I flinch at the anger in his voice and confusion rushes through me. "What?" I squeak, attempting to get air into my constricted lungs. He sighs, the warm air brushing against my neck, sending goose bumps skittering across my skin. "I'm not going to tell him you intend to escape. How can I when I plan to do the same thing?" My mind whirls as I attempt to understand what he is saying. He wants to escape? But he is one of Lucifer's most trusted. How does that even happen? He's lying. "I'm not lying. I needed him to trust me or I would never find a way to get out." "You know a way out? Wait. Did you just read my thoughts? How did you just read my thoughts? I thought you were a shield!" Once again his sigh of exasperation leaves goose bumps on my skin and a shiver running down my spine. "I am a shield. It just so happens that I'm a reader too. Yes, that is possible. Obviously. Now can I let you go, or are you going to try and kill me again?" © 2013 by Froggie27.
