Ryuichi Sakamoto, a final year high schooler often bullied by others, met a wheelchaired girl named Yuki Kanao by chance when visiting his grandmother at a hospital.

Despite having to spend the rest of her life on a wheelchair, Yuki spends her days cheerfully brimming with hopes, a total contrary to Ryu; a self-loathing introverted person whom with his several friends called themselves "Losers of the World".

Asked why, Yuki explains it's no one's fault she has to be what her now and tells Ryuichi if there's anyone to blame, "let's just blame it on gravity!"

Their fated meeting soon begin to change both of their life.
