Zia has a pretty good life. Her family is off to the lake for the summer, just like they do every year. She thinks it's going to be the best summer of her life. Picnics, swimming, parties, hanging out with her best friend, Camille, and spending time with her crush, Emmett (who also happens to be her other best friend), are all on her summer agenda.

Zia's plans are about to have a major alteration when she, Emmett, and Camille are wrongly accused of setting the mayor's house on fire. Their summer becomes all about clearing their names and finding the true culprit. Zia experiences major twists and turns in her love life, family, and even in her innocence.
