An ominous warning of a great evil to come sends Krailess, Champion of Vestas, on several missions to recruit a large mortal army to stand against it, but he is unaware that a dark DRUX is hunting him, and destroying planets he has visited. Distracted by his hopeless love for Bria, leader of the warrior women of Shar, Krailess can think of nothing else. While on a mission, the dark DRUX attacks and destroys Shar, and Bria is feared dead. When the DRUX brings her hatred for the young champion to his home, Krailess vows revenge.
