Deku's parents divorce after many years of living apart so that Inko can remarry, but she loses the fight for custody.
Now Deku lives far from Tokyo in a shady area with his abusive father, and as if that wasn't enough, he's constantly tormented at school. One day though, he meets someone who makes his life just a little more worth living.

In this AU there are quirks, but no heroes, no villains.
Also, Bakugo and Deku were good friends throughout their childhood, the nicknames were only caused by friendly banter, and stuck with them.
Also also, Deku's last name is now Bakugo, since after marrying Mitsuki, Inko wanted to change her last name.
Also also also, the Inko x Mitsuki ship is not very known, but I just wanted to 1. Give Inko someone who makes her happy and respects her because Inko is beautiful and deserves the world (All Might could've maybe been the one, but I really think he's good with Dave and I didn't want more characters and since heroes don't exist in this world it wouldn't be the same) and 2. I also wanted to make Katsuki and Deku stepbrothers.
Characters do not belong to me, only my own made characters and the plot are mine.
This story was loosely inspired by the beginning of @Insane_Hero 's story called 'My Story'. I recommend you check it out.
