In a rural part town of North Carolina, the school system is split into six k-8th schools all containing about 100 - 200 kids each. The smallest of these schools is called Woodboro, where the school has one class per grade for each grade and kids who are forced to spend every day, all day for nine years with the same classmates, or as the kids call themselves school siblings. From art class to recess these kids were forced to become inseparable. One of the graduating classes from Woodboro, who called themself woodlens, went as far as to start their own secret club to separate them any new classmates that might appear. This "club" often disappeared during recess, making the old abandoned house behind the woods their own playground. Four years after the woodlens graduated from Woodboro, they come back to their childhood school, now has new high school graduates. But all isn't how it seems, because after four years apart these kids are looking for more than reminisce, one of them is looking for revenge. After pleasantries and a few fights, the newly reunited group finds that their former queen bee is missing, only to discover her body killed with a weapon only they knew about. Afraid of being blamed or murdered, they decide to find the killer in the group. While searching for the murder, they also find old friendships that were lost, romances that were forgotten, and a few well-hidden secrets not meant to be discovered.
