Dear Reader,

My name is Dipper Pines. I have recently received this journal as a gift from my sister, Mabel (no Mabel, it's not a diary!) In this journal I hope to record my findings about all of the mysteries of Gravity Falls, Oregon and to prove that the supernatural do exist. I have gathered lots of evidence from staying with my Grunkle (Great Uncle) Stan over the summer. My other journal that I have found also contains a lot of information about all of the monsters that live in Gravity Falls. 

 I hope that when you have finished reading this journal, you too will be convinced of the strange and mystical happenings here. The truth will be revealed about this place, and together we can ride off into the sunset, fighting gnomes and zombies together, and saving the world. We will be known as heroes.
