Cold to the Bone (book 1)

Book 1, a story of how patience and trust leads consequently to loyalty and obedience out of love and sacrifice. Set in the 20th Century, a mystery of a dead family and the omens of recent events. This story tells of a girl, named Lorissa, and her fight to discover her lost families connection to a growing force of darkness and how this strange boy is somehow saving her from herself. The mind is it's own enemy in many ways. In the end, a new grave is replaced with another when the ultimate sacrifice is made. The survivor makes their way through guilt of living, to be sent into the next book, 'Pure to the bone'.
