Connor Anderson was a homicide detective. He handled homicide cases. Someone would kill another someone, and he would figure out what happened and deliver justice. This however, was not what he did. This was different. Both the case, and his reaction to it. He was an enforcer if the law, this went against all he stood for. What was he doing? Something about this woman had changed something in him. And that something made him want to make a little trouble. Why he was so okay with this was a question that needed to be answered.
How he got from chasing after a homicidal maid who kidnapped a little girl, to robbing a jewelry store was also a question in need of answering.

As you continue to work alongside Hank and Connor, you soon begin to learn things about androids you never noticed before. You also realize that you are finding yourself falling in love with the one person you are not supposed to fall in love with. 'Purple Hearts' puts a unique spin on the events of Detroit Become Human, showing the story of what is behind the scenes, the true feelings of androids, and the lives they struggle to barely survive on the streets. Throughout the story, you slowly begin to see the world in a different light, and through that, you also learn what it means to become human. Who can you really trust when the humans seem more evil than the androids do? The lines blur between the good and the bad; the human, and the android. --- Genres of drama, action, and romance. It follows the direction of the main plot of Detroit Become Human, but I have added various sub plot lines and characters unique to this fanfiction. There is foul language in this story. The the year 2038 everything seemed to finally be looking up for the recently torn city of Detroit, not for young (name) who couldn't speak since an accident at age six left her mute. Being mute had a lot of disadvantages, the biggest being that most humans couldn't understand sign language at her workplace in the Stratford tower, so the only friends she really had were androids. An RX800 android, Brent being her best friend Then, after a supposed terrorist bombing at the Stratford tower, she is thrown into a police investigation head first, the only person with she could really communicate was an RK800 android named Connor. Throughout the investigation, however, (name) grows a strong attachment to Connor, with him treating her like an actual equal than a strange foreigner. Her parents murdered by their android who turned deviant, wanting to feel the thrill of the kill. She ran to Uncle Hank's house for help, and he immediately called the police. Her uncle tried to be there for her, being that he was a detective and awkward, and he would always be by her side when she would have a nightmare. 3 years later with the arrival of Cole, Skye was intrigued about the child and instantly grew a liking to him, seeing him as the little brother she could never have. He helped her through her PTSD and eased her nightmares. For once both she and Hank thought Skye could finally live normally again. But, when Cole passed away because of the careless act of a high surgeon and an android surgeon, she snapped. She screamed and cried, she developed a bi-polar disorder and a rude, aggressive, and solitary attitude. Hank made no move to scold her for her actions because he was the same way, the only comfort they had was their dog, Sumo, and alcohol. That is until an android entered their lives - RK800. He became Hank's new partner in the investigation on deviants. Skye was nothing but cold and rude to the docile and innocent android, but no matter how angered she would get when he spoke to her, or how restricted and quiet she would act around him, her introverted personality only drew Connor in, despite her pushing him away.
