Aldara is your average orphan who never got adopted. She goes to school, goes back to the orphanage, all is good. Especially with the help of her only friend, Qilin. But everyday, as they walk to the nearby school, they pass by this metal fence, and on the other side is a neighborhood that seems to be around for about 100 years. Not to mention that there is an urban legend going around, that once you enter the neighborhood, you can never get out. Also that the neighborhood is filled with freaks, bad people. Aldara, starting to get bored with her life, decides to go through the rusting metal gate, and after that her story unfolds into something the average human eye could not see.

ONC entry for 2024. Prompt 49: Being a superhero is just too boring. Let's be a villain! 15-years-old Marissa Everstar makes a Faustian bargain to receive superpowers, in the hope they will make her famous. But when being a superhero turns out to mainly involve boring work that does not get her the immediate popularity she craves, she shifts gears and becomes a villain. Trigger warning: contains descriptions of physical and emotional abuse, blood and gore. Excerpt from chapter 2: I carefully begin pouring the white powder onto the floor, drawing a large pentagram. I spend a lot of time on the intricate details, making sure everything is perfect. The summoning circle quite small, but it will have to do. I clap my hands twice and hear a soul-crushing scream that appears to pierce my body to its core. Hearing the sound fills my stomach with butterflies and gives me a fuzzy feeling. I haven't heard a single sound in almost a year. Following the scream, a shadowy figure emerges. He appears deep black, littered with stars, as if a human-like shape has been carved out of the universe, but also strangely transparent, as if made of glass. His long arms end in clawed fingers, and his ears and horns are goat-like in appearance. On his back are two bat-like wings. He speaks in a deep voice-the only one I've heard in a long time. "Mortal, why have you awoken me from my slumber?"Concluida
Sacred High (Book One: Freshman Year)
Although the world appeared to be normal, one day changes occurred. The 'New Generation' was formed. Young children moving toward highschool started developing abilities. These abilities were the same or shared with gods and mythical creatures. For example one had the abilities of Zeus able to produce lightning, and so on. These were called the 'Irregulars', all sent to 'Sacred High', a highschool created specially for them. This however is not a normal school, as there are no adults around to lead anything. It is run by the students, mainly the Student Council, and forms a battle for survival, survival of the fittest. One day, the supervisors on the outside found something different ... An Irregular Among Irregulars, alias IAI. A young boy that was within the New Generation, yet had no abilities whatsoever. After the entry interview, the youth claimed: "I have no religion or beliefs but my own path." Due to this statement, this youth was titled "The Atheist', put on Sacred High between the rampant gods and myth wielders. Striving to aim for higher popularity ranks to ensure their safety, this was literally a battle to survive and become the strongest. The better your reputation, the less likely anyone would bother you. At the top stands the Student Council, possibly the most rotten out of the school, while at the bottom, the new IAI joins. Scarlet has had a terrible past. Her family treats her as if she doesn't exist . Doesn't help her when she is beaten by her power craving father. Scarlet becomes stronger with her uncles help. She is able to get through life as if nothing happens. However, the help from her uncle is only just the beginning as danger starts to happen again. College is where she felt normal however on one evening when class finished and she had no more classes. She was great by two factors that will changer life. The question is will Scarlet be able to get through this change in life? What danger awaits? Will she be able to juggle her romance that comes along the danger. Will the people who love her be able to help protect and fight for her.
