'It doesn't matter anyway.'
This was something Jack used to say to Jill all the time. Until they arrive in a town which exists to match people with things that matter to them. Unable to return to the outside world, they have no other option but to adapt to their new circumstances, in order to preserve their sanity, and to survive.

How would Jack and Jill's relationship fare in this strange new world? Would they ever be able to return to their home-world, or manage to forget it, to cruise comfortably in this aimless void? But no world exists without its dark secrets...

Most know the story of Eyeless Jack and Bloody Painter. But what if some of the details in the stories were left out? Like Eyeless Jack having a girlfriend and Bloody Painter actually had a very caring friend? Well, what if I told you that these two people are sisters and their father happens to be someone in the mansion? Let me explain. Eyeless Jack's girlfriend, Heather, went to MIT with Jack; studying to be an engineer while Jack was studying to be a doctor. They had started dating in high school, when Heather was a junior and Jack was a senior. By the time Heather had made it to MIT, Jack was already two semester's in, and when their three year anniversary came by; Jack proposed. However, only a few days went by before Jack disappeared. This sent Heather into a spiral, attempting to figure out just what had happened to him and denying he was gone... Now, onto Bloody Painter's story. Sure, Bloody Painter had known Puppeteer just before both of them turned to Creepypasta's, but Bloody Painter had another friend by the name of Skylor. She was only a couple of years younger than him and was considered a sister to him. The two had stuck together since the middle of their high school years and were in college for the same major: art. Though, when she heard the news of kids being killed, their blood used for murals and then him not showing to class made her worry. After a few days, she started to hear rumors of a 'Bloody Painter' and went to search online, finding that the story was the same as her friend and made it her mission to contact him and figure out a way for her to help him. While the two had good intentions, some things should be left alone. Otherwise, things may not go exactly according to plan.

Jack moves as the light turns green. "You know, if there's one book I haven't read, it's Emma by Jane." "No way." Jack nods. "I'm more on a Kafka vibe now." "Oh?" "I'm reading Letters to Milena." "You are the knife I turn inside myself; that is love. That, my dear, is love." He quotes dramatically. Jack smiles. "It's beautiful. How can he have such a vision of life and be so devastatingly in love with her? It's art." "Definitely a favourite of mine. It's so... pure, so raw. It explains what love is, I think. It's such a vague concept." Jack shrugs. "I don't think you can take his letters as a definition of love. Only you know what it means. Because everyone loves differently." Zach takes in his words. "I see." He hums. "So, to know what love is, one has to be loved." "Not necessarily. You can look at your parents and see that they love each other. Or a random old couple in the park. The love is there. But it's different from everyone else's." He nods slowly. "What's love to you?" "I'll let you figure that one out yourself." Jack smiles softly. "Maybe one day I'll tell you." He shrugs. Zach whines. "Ugh, don't be mysterious." They chuckle as Jack parks the car in front of the coffee shop. Jack turns it off. "I'm letting you explore the mystery because I don't know what love is, just yet." He moves to hold his hand. "Not that it means with you, at least." The brunet feels his lips contort into a smile. "That was so cheesy." He chuckles. He rolls his eyes. "I'm trying to be romantic here." He squeezes his hand.

"Wait, don't go," I said barely above a whisper, but Jack indeed did hear, almost as if he was listening for it. "Can you stay with me? At least until I fall asleep," I replied, watching as he slightly smiled and agreed to my request before coming over to join me in bed. It was then he invited me into his arms, just like how he had fifteen years ago. I rested my head against his chest, listening to his heart beating as he wrapped his arms around me tight. Smiling, I was happy in the moment, and the world didn't matter one bit. I was with my Jack and that was all that mattered. Yes, in the morning my problems would still be there, but for the night it was almost as if they were completely gone...
