Happiness: the state of being happy.

Seems simple enough, right? Yeah? Well, wrong.

Happiness is defined in a simple way but one can not earn happiness as simply. To be genuinely happy, you must have a reason. But if you don't have a reason, odds are you're most likely unhappy.

My reason is not simple in any way. The one thing, the one person that made my life happy was taken away from me. It wasn't like I knew it was going to happen, it just... happened.

I didn't get to say goodbye in the proper way. I barely got to say goodbye at all.

My point is, live every day like it's your last. If you love someone, never let them go because you never know when the next time you see them will be.

Or in rare cases, it happens way sooner than anyone expected...

People always say every life should be cherished. That every single one of them is equally fragile and precious. Like a beautiful glass sculpture or the blossoming flowers in spring. But the thing is, everyone's definition of beautiful is different. Some people prefer roses over orchids. Some of them like sculptures of people whereas others like sculptures of animals. And so there are times when even the most beautiful sculpture gets thrown away like trash or forgotten somewhere because they found one that's prettier. The beautiful flowers that bloomed in spring will wither away and eventually become nothing but dust. There are times when a sculpture in itself could be really beautiful but a tiny flaw will make people deem it as a "mistake". The flowers that are left to wither away just because they miss a leave, or because they aren't the right size or the right colour. So you see that saying about every life being equally precious?, yeah that only counts for the "perfect" ones. Still some of these faulty sculptures and broken flowers managed to make it into the world. They would be facing the harsh reality of this world and would have to fight to survive. Some of them would unfortunately lose this fight in the end, leaving to a faraway place in hopes to find peace and quiet. Still just being able to make it this far in this harsh world is something to be proud of, as friends and family will forever remember these brave individuals who fought hard to survive until the very end. - Kaylee de Leeuw

Bliss. Delight. Contentment. Euphoria. Elation. Joy. Glee. Felicity. Jubilation. These are all words synonymous to the word happiness. But what is true happiness? Happiness is that feeling of butterflies fluttering around in your chest, trying to break out. Happiness is that invisible fluid rushing in your veins, making you shiver in the most wonderful way. Happiness is the force that pulls your cheeks up into the widest smile and makes your eyes twinkle. Happiness makes you light-headed and giddy, it is in fact like alcohol. Well then, I am utterly and completely drunk. When you're happy, everything feels amazing. Even small insignificant things like getting up in the morning. The golden hue of sunlight streaming in through the curtains feels like a soft caress from the hand of a lover. The birds seem to chirp sweetly outside, a melody to which the leaves sway as if mesmerised by their music. The curtains tango with the wind beautifully. Every little thing seems perfect. And that's a word I'd use to describe my life. Perfect. To give you a little introduction about me, let me start by explaining the most important aspects of my life. I have a loving family. There's my sarcastic, yet surprisingly sweet brother, my beautiful mother (both in looks and spirit) and my stern, yet humorous father. I have the best best friend, Charlotte and I have an amazing boyfriend, Theo. I'm quite beautiful and popular too which I'm not saying to brag, I'm just stating the truth. So that is my life. The life of Tia-Jade Garcia. *** What she didn't know was that every high has a low and that the higher you rise, the lower you fall and the more painful that fall is. Follow her story as she loses everybody she ever cared for and thereby her happiness. See her fight all of her demons by herself. Watch her fall in love...with herself because the only person's love you'll always need is yours. This is her self-love story.

Taken By Them

47 parts Complete

Getting taken was never our plan. Meeting them wasn't so much of one either. What if one day you were with your bestfriend in the entire world. Safe, sound, protected. Then the next moment your taken and shoved in a place where you didn't know anyone else. That safe protected bubble popped. Would you kill yourself? It wouldn't be that easy. Watched every second of everyday. You knew not to make a mistake. They weren't mean, protective maybe. "Who knew why we got taken." 'Was my bestfriend even taken?" "Am I even safe?" Those were the questions running through Kaitlynn and Nicole's heads. What would you do, if you were taken by them?
