This follows the story of Akeli Vierra and her friends. It is the year 2012 and the world around them is erupting into chaos as Fathoms, magical beings, are being blamed for a surge of attacks against common folk. Cambridge, a school for the gifted and Akeli's home, is at the centre of the storm when evidence condemns them. Now all Akeli needs to do is save her race, the world, and deal with all the normal things a teenage girl must.
