Long ago, before even Time was born there was Universe. He created everything we now know, but was tired of his never-ending existence and longed for rest. So he created the Primordia, a race of powerful beings to which he granted a portion of his power. Then, seeing he left his greatest work, humanity, in good hands, he slept. His children multiplied and diversified with the children of Earth growing in number and power. Seven children were born to Fate and Infinity, the Inevitables. The sisters Darkness, Dawn, Doom, Destiny, Dream, Death, and their one brother Domination. True to his name the brother sought to rule both humans and Primordia. Vast amounts of magical energy were released upon the earth during the ensuing war, creating the first magical creatures, or Mystics, and turning mortal men into wizards. With the help of these first wizards, they imprisoned Domination. Seeing the destruction and horror which one of their own had wrought, the Primordia signed a treaty with Earth promising to no longer meddle in human affairs beyond what was needful. Now, Domination has set in motion a plan to end the world and the Primordia will again need the help of mortal champions to stop him. But even with the power of the Inevitables coursing through their veins, the road to victory isn't easy. And most of them don't even have their driver's licenses yet.

I sighed heavily as I scanned the forest. I had heard something or someone to be specific, wandering about. I decided I would leave once I affirmed they weren't a danger. "What are you doing in my land, human?" In an alternate timeline, the human race found a way to create superpowers. By extracting energy from stars and inserting that energy into humans, 'powers' were created. Powers allowed humans to gain unnatural abilities such as flight, invisibility, super strength or in other words, superpowers. Of course, with the introduction of something so revolutionary, people rose up in the hundreds of thousands in an event known as the Great Rebellion. The insurgents banded together under a single banner and became collectively known as the Shadow, marking the beginning of the Cosmic Wars. Out of the darkness, the Gazers were born. Using what remained of the power technology, the Gazers singlehandedly perished the evil and ended the conflict. However, there was a price to pay. Powers put a toll on the human body and had serious mental and physical repercussions. The solution was to recruit children from the age of 13 to 18 and train them so their bodies would adapt to their powers, eventually becoming immune to all negative side effects. The end of the Cosmic Wars brought forth a new age of peace and prosperity that the world had never seen before. However, the long reign of the Gazers has already begun to crumble, cracks showing up within the very thread of society. Their rule will not last for much longer. The Shadow will rise once again.
