If you bore the last name Parker, then hell is almost guaranteed for you. Ever since my parents, not like I can even remember them, died, my life has been pure hell. But I grew numb to the pain. The best advice uncle Ben gave me, before he was shot in the head in front of me, was that the best revenge is living well. He gave me many more advice since I moved in to live with him and May. But that was what I remembered because he had told me the day he died. He gave me that sound advice before those robbers came in and demanded money. And like the hero he was, though I never really believed in them till that moment, he tried to stop them. And I watched him die in my arms. And he knew about what I've been doing, he told me before he died. And even in death he gave me one last piece of advice. With great power, comes great responsibility. And I made it my responsibility to help those who can't help themselves. Even if they hated me.

Heartbreak made me reckless. Loving him made me whole. When Steve Rogers broke my heart, I wasn't sure I'd ever recover. He was my everything, until he wasn't. So I pieced myself back together the only way I knew how. With anger. With mistakes. With fire. And with someone I never expected-his best friend. James Barnes is complicated. Dangerous. Broken in his own ways. But he's the one who stayed. The one who chose me. This isn't a fairytale. It's messy. It's devastating. And it's real.
