Decades of wars and unrest have clawed at the sides of Pyrrhia's dragons for as long as they can remember, and the tales of true peace and dragonets of prophecy are simply whispers of the past. Shrike has never been regarded by his tribe as a real SkyWing. His mother fell ill and passed away when he was a dragonet, and his father, a royal SeaWing, was executed by his dictatorial queen as soon as it was found out that he'd had an affair with a common SkyWing. Still, Shrike remains tethered to the Queen and his tribe. Years of lost wars, unfulfilled treaties, and an excessively lavish lifestyle lived by their ruler, Queen Markhor, have left the SkyWing tribe impoverished and starving, and Shrike, the princess's personal bodyguard, has witnessed the consequences of the Queen's ignorance firsthand. A diplomacy meeting with the SeaWings gone wrong erupts in yet another bloody war, and Shrike is swept up in battle before finding himself caught in between the jaws of the political turmoil that seem to be tearing his tribe apart from the inside out. To make matters worse, a warning delivered years before by the continentally renowned prophet, Hereafter, is unraveling before Shrike's eyes, and its exhortations seem like an echo chamber awfully reminiscent of his own life. That coupled with a newfound power in his claws leaves him spiraling and wondering one question: could 𝘩𝘦 be the terror of talons? ✦ Please read the introductory pages! For some reason, Ink, the Creator and Protector of the Sans AUs, has decided that some of the Sanses of the Multiverse should go to highschool again. Honestly, no one really liked the idea, especially the Bad Sanses, including Ink's enemy, Error. Prince Nightmare is one of the AUs that must repeat these years of treachery. He basically only finished his actual highschool, and is NOT looking forward to having to do it again. Luckily his brother, Prince Dream, will be coming along the journey beside him. But Nightmare and Dream Are polar opposites, so Nightmare can't really get along with his brother's friends, nor Dream get along with Nightmare's, if he had any. With rules to follow and secrets to keep, Nightmare must go through highschool and not let slip the terrible things that happen at home. But then suddenly the two princes disappear. There's no trace as to who might've taken them, either. The only one that doesn't seem concerned is their own father, the king. King Sun-Beam. What is he hiding underneath all of those jewels and fake smiles? A/N: There is lemon/smut. So all you innocent people out there-- don't worry! Because I warn you at every chapter, and right before it happens. I designed the cover, but did the not the amazing artwork of Nightmare Sans. As such, he finds himself risking it all to save a world he's not even supposed to exist in. As well as having to choose. Whether living life as dragon... (HIATUS) this fanfiction is recommended for the ages 15-17 for it contains mature themes and is graphic in nature. viewer discretion is advised. dude is a loser, he's always felt like he was at the bottom since his childhood. but hey, let's talk about his other aspects shall we? there's something about dude and his love for the vast open space. when he was a child, his curious mind stared at the moon every night. wondering if one has gone there, or if he can too. and it was settled, his dream was to become an astronaut exploring the stars, and beyond! but in order to achieve his dreams he has to work hard for it. and as he prioritized his studies from primary school all the way to graduation, i'll let you imagine what he looks like after sleepless nights of books and assignments. but speaking of graduation, as of now our little dude had just graduated high school. during his highschool days he always dreamed of going to his dream university. and after years of planning, saving up, and a disastrous bus drive on his way to the city, there it was. his highschool dream right in front of him. and little did dude know, that one happy accident will change his perspective in life. this is a solarballs au, a very different one than the norm. it's more of a retell, a what if. what if solarballs was seen through a different lens? a different setting perhaps? if you expect this to be a light hearted story, be warned that this au will contain very heavy topics. i love solarballs as a neurodivergient and this au has already existed since the start of my solarballs hyperfixation. i'm very excited to share the story of this retelling of solarballs to you all! and keep in mind that this is a retell, so some characters and storylines will not be the same as the original. though, i will still try my best to make it atleast similar to the original solarballs version. have fun reading!

What if the dragonet inside it actually survived? What if the SkyWing was hidden in a deep pit with only a sick IceWing guardian to take care of? After ten years, when the war of the SandWing Succession has finally come to a glorious ending and the Eye of Onyx has crowned Thorn as their new SandWing queen, Soaren, the surviving SkyWing, has been having trouble living in the pit for ten years all his life. He wanted to see the world. He wanted the sun to finally touch his scales. He wanted to spread his wings freely. His very, very large wings. When his IceWing guardian was about to die of SandWing venom, Soaren was determined to save him by travelling to the Rainforest, where he heard he could retrieve the cure for the venom. It would have been easier than going to the Sand Kingdom. But as Soaren flies through his journey, he meets a peculiar dragon as he passes the Sea Kingdom and some interesting dragons while he stays in the Rainforest. However, a strange occurrence happened at Jade Mountain. He and a few friends try to solve the mystery, gathering up all the clues while the SkyWing wonders if he should go back to his guardian. Soaren had hid his true identity as the 'lost' SkyWing, but he needs to eventually open up. With the NightWings in the Rainforest, more mind readers will be born and they'll find out who he is. But worst of all, he'll have to face something far more terrible than anyone could have imagined... Disclaimer: I do not own any of these characters from the best book series in the world, they are the characters of the great and magnificent Tui T. Sutherland. The only characters I own are my OCs.
