You see, Nini has a gift. When Humans transition, their emotions amplify. The angry get angrier, the stubborn become more stubborn, and the silent become hidden. Nini was a quiet human, abused by her father and forced to live her human life quietly. So, as expected, when she became a vampire she was a master at hiding.
