Everyone makes mistakes. Not everybody essentially signs themself over to someone, but everybody makes mistakes. It has been a year since Brooklyn has gotten herself entangled in a "business deal" with one of New York's wealthiest men; wealthiest married men. When her best friend, Victoria -a divorce attorney- strikes up a shocking friendship with one of her clients; she is forced to come to a head with what exactly she has been doing over the past months. But removing yourself from an unfortunate equation is much easier said than done, even more so when the "constant" has already deemed you his. --------- A rewritten, improved version of the original "MINE". I suggest 17-18+, but hey I'm not your mama so I can't exactly tell you what to do. Read at your own risk.

*FAST PACED STORY* MATURE CONTENT* VENTURE CAUTIOUSLY Victoria Black has been promised to Connor Reyes, someone who doesn't want to be with her, yet can't stop himself from getting involved in her business. With her life becoming increasingly dependent on his approval and acceptance, she slowly finds herself falling for the cold, calculating man. Connor never wanted to fall for the brunette beauty that her father chose for her. But no one had kept him on his toes the way Victoria did. She was unpredictable, untamed, and he'd spent far too much time blaming her for things he didn't fully understand-like the fire she ignited in him every time he saw her with another man. He didn't just want to possess her; he wanted her to want him back, to see him beyond his cold demeanor and ruthless control. But admitting that? Letting her know how much power she truly had over him? That was a risk he wasn't sure he could take. Not yet. But would they ever see each other for who they truly are? Will they ever understand how they feel for each other? Or will they be forever trapped, being miserable, trapped in a cycle of hurt and mistrust?
