Mainly by her parents, one pretending she doesn't exist, the other calling her a monster and setting up her own flesh and blood as a child prostitute. Later even the other civilians become afraid of her. Asa just doesn't get it. Maybe killing and eating people isn't normal to civilians, but in a world where shinobi exist, killers who rape, torture, steal, etc. Really, what's normal supposed to be like?
